15 April 1980 (3 of 3) (unpublished) NOTE: This is one of three letters I wrote in response to the April 13, 1980 L.A. Times article under the headline, "Homemade 'Kiddie Porn' Increasing, Experts Say". Each of the letters had a different approach, and I used pseudonyms for two of them, as the letters were mailed separately. All three letters are included as links at this site for reference and comparisons.
While reading your recent (April 13) article on "kiddie porn", I seemed to remember some other articles I had read, so I did a little research. Who are these people who are yelling so loud about man and boy relationships (while virtually ignoring the "exploitation" of little girls)? Isn't this the same Lloyd Martin who headed the 1973 investigation in which he admitted in court that he had boy witnesses sign blank depositions which he filled in later? Wasn't that also the case in which a boy testified that he was dangled over a cliff on Angeles Crest Drive by officers seeking a statement against their defendants (testimony corroborated by the prosecutor -- People v Yert, et al., 1973)? Isn't this the same "psychiatrist" Judianne Densen-Gerber whom New York Magazine (November 19, 1979) says never finished her psychiatric residency nor fulfilled the requirements for psychiatry licensing? The subjects about which Martin and Densen-Gerber spout knowledge are not well-researched, and their approach doesn't seem to be getting us anywhere. Why isn't anyone asking --- "Why?" |
