This is a revised version of the invited paper presented on 29 June 1987
at the Symposium "Adult Human Sexual Behavior With Children
and Adolescents", Jemez Springs,
New Mexico, 29 June to 3 July 1987
In Summer 1987, a week-long
conference was organized by members of the
International Society for Human Ethology, on the subject:
"Adult Human Sexual Behavior with Children and Adolescents".
It was held in a mountain retreat in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.
The book that followed the conference
(Pedophilia:
Biosocial Dimensions,
Jay R. Feierman, M.D., Editor, 1990)
contained some of the
ideas presented there.
This paper documents all the presentations
as recorded and remembered by one participant (myself).
The history of father-son relationships in films
from the beginning of motion pictures to the early 1970s is
presented in this two-part article, originally published
in Films and Filming magazine in June and July 1974.
A personal reaction to the final concert of a fine musical
organisation, and to the possible end of the 1,000-year tradition of Boys'
Choirs in general.
A commentary on society's reaction to those who choose to
live in situations other than the traditional family.
